Diocese of Amelia

The former diocese of Amelia originated in the 5th century and was located in Italy. Since 1973 it has been under the administration of the Bishop of Terni and Narni . In 1980 there were still 19,890 Catholics (99.6% of the population) in 21 parishes with 20 diocesan priests , 10 religious priests and 53 religious sisters . In 1983 it was finally united with the diocese of Terni and Narni and thus lost its existence.
