The diocese of Cavaillon (Latin Dioecesis Cavallicensis ) is a former Roman Catholic diocese in southern France with its seat in the city of Cavaillon . It existed since the 5th century and belonged to the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Avignon since 1475 . With the Concordat of 1801 , the Diocese of Cavaillon was dissolved and incorporated into the Archdiocese of Avignon.

On February 16, 2009, the diocese of Cavaillon was re-established as the titular diocese of Cavaillon .
