Bjornflisan

Björnflisan (Oil 25) is a rune stone on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea . The stone, inscribed with runes , is located in the northern part of Stora Alvaret on an old path leading through the Alvar . To the west is the Dröstorp desert , to the east is Skarpa Alby .

About a third of the stone is missing. The inscription, which is no longer complete, reads: Jörund erected the stone for his brother ... According to Johannes Haquini Rhezelius (d. 1666) the stone was still called Åbjörnaflisan in 1634 , a name derived from a personal name, while today's name translates as "Bärenstein" leaves.
