Blackwall Station

Blackwall is a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 2, on Aspen Way in the Blackwall district . Nearby is the north entrance of the Blackwall Tunnel , which crosses under the Thames .

The station opened on March 28, 1994, along with the branch line towards Beckton . During the heyday of Docklands , the same location was the Poplar station of the London and Blackwall Railway (L&BR). It was in operation from July 6, 1840 to May 3, 1926. There was also an L&BR train station called Blackwall ; However, this was a little further east near today's East India station .
