Blading

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The American wrestler Ric Flair uses the technique frequently.

Blading is a common form of causing bleeding in wrestling . The wrestler cuts his forehead , which is bleeding, unnoticed by viewers and TV cameras .

By welding itself quite a small cut with little blood loss looks extremely effective and brings the fight an increase in rudeness and brutality. The cut is usually made with a razor blade, which either the referee has with him, which is deposited somewhere on the ring or which the wrestler has been carrying with him since the beginning of the performance (e.g. wrapped in a handkerchief under his pants or under a knee pad etc.).

Another - public - form of blading is to inflict the blade directly in combat.

The forehead is ideal because there are a lot of blood vessels that bleed profusely in relatively flat incisions.

Blading is not considered if in z. B. in a barbed wire match the forehead, face or other body parts are made to bleed.

In some wrestling organizations, such as the WWE , blading is now prohibited for health reasons.
