Blankenmühle is a small settlement as well as a historic grain mill that is located in the Freudenberg district of Wessental in the Main-Tauber district .

geography

Blankenmühle is about one kilometer north of Wessental in the Wildbachtal . About four kilometers north of Blankenmühle, the torrent flows into the Main from the left and south . Other neighboring towns are Rauenberg after about two kilometers to the west and Boxtal after about two kilometers to the north.

history

The historic Blankenmühle was a former grain mill. In addition to the Blankenmühle, there were two other mills of this type in the Wildbachtal near Wessental, the Antoniusmühle and the sawmill .

On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Wessental, to which the Blankenmühle belonged, was incorporated into the city of Freudenberg.
