Blue spectacled snake
Die Blaue Brillenschlange is a Swiss children's and youth literature prize that has been awarded annually since 1985 to outstanding books on the subject of “Foreign Worlds” and “Racism”. The Blue Spectacle Snake was awarded until 2003 by the Declaration of Bern and terre des hommes Schweiz with financial support from the Federal Office of Culture. The prize is endowed with 4,000 francs (3,000 for authorship, 1,000 for translation).
