Blaze (band)

The music group Blaze was founded in 1984 by musicians Josh Milan, Kevin Hedge and Chris Herbert in New Jersey , USA . The musicians got to know each other during the church choir . Herbert later left the project, Milan and Hedge developed their characteristic style of house , which has gospel , soul and afrobeat influences.

The project gained popularity through a remix of Lisa Stansfield's hit "People, Hold On." In 1990 the first LP was released, "25 Years Later". Since then, the musicians have released three more albums, plus countless singles. The project became internationally popular, especially in deep house circles. The track "My Beat" (remixed by DJ Misjah ) is one of their most successful titles.
