The Blockspfuhl is a Söll in Schöneiche near Berlin .

The Blockspfuhl is the northernmost of a double-digit number of small pools and ponds in Schöneiche. It is located on the right of Fredersdorfer Weg in the Feldmark. If the Söll was used in earlier times by the city of Berlin to collect the clarified water from its sewage fields near Schöneiche, it is now a natural body of water again. Due to the lowered groundwater level, however, the Blockspfuhl must be stored with water from the Schöneiche industrial area, which is collected in the rainwater retention basin in the Schöneiche industrial area . Another connection is via a ditch to the nearby Fredersdorfer Mühlenfließ . A similar renaturation is also planned for the not far away Espenpfuhl .

The block pond surrounded by a small wood is an important habitat for the birds and other animals, especially amphibians, in the region. Mallards , railings and nightingales , and sometimes also warblers, breed regularly in the undisturbed biotope . For white stork , lapwing , gray heron and buzzard , the area around the lake is an important place for foraging. The Blockspfuhl is a natural monument .
