The soil stabilizer (also tiller ) is a construction machine and is in the range earthwork and traffic route construction for soil stabilization and establishing the base layer used.

The machine mills the existing soil to the required depth and can add binding agents such as lime , cement or hydraulic mixed binders , depending on the requirements . This process is also referred to as the construction mixing process.

The milling depth can be up to 50 cm, with appropriate weather a stabilization of up to 10,000 m² surface per day is possible.

There are soil stabilizers as self-propelled machines and as implements attached to tractors .
