Soil geography
The soil geography (also Pedogeographie ) is an academic sub-discipline of Geography ( Physical Geography ). It records, describes and explains the relationships between the soil and other physical (e.g. climate, water, fauna and flora) or anthropogenic geofactors (e.g. economy, population, settlement). Of particular interest are the spatial structures of the pedosphere (e.g. distribution of soil types and soil types ) that result from these interactions.
Like geography itself, soil geography is also of an interdisciplinary nature. So z. B. Connections to biology , geology and hydrology or agricultural sciences , urban and regional development .
