Bodil Bredsdorff (born March 3, 1951 in Hillerød in Denmark ) is a Danish children's and youth author.

Life

Bodil Bredsdorff, born in 1951, is a well-known Danish children's book author. She is a trained educator, studied advertising at the Copenhagen School of Applied Arts and produced television programs for children. For over ten years she has devoted herself entirely to writing. For her children's book series ( Die Kinder von der Krähenbucht ) she received the Children's Book Prize of the Danish Ministry of Culture in 1995 and the Prize of the Danish Culture Fund / Literature in 1996, in the USA among others the Booklist Editor's Choice 2004, de School Liebrary Journal Best Book of the Year 2004 and in France the Prix ​​Chranos de littérature 2008 .
