Lilian Brøgger (born January 27, 1950 on Fanø ) is a Danish illustrator primarily of children's books .

Career

Lilian Brøgger was born on Fanø in 1950 and grew up in Copenhagen. From 1967 to 1972 she studied at the arts and crafts school in Copenhagen, where she graduated as an illustrator. In 1975 she introduced herself for the first time as a picture book illustrator in Where Linda Ways by Bodil Bredsdorff . In the meantime, Brøgger has illustrated more than 100 books and is described in a biographical reference as currently “the most important Danish picture book artist”. Brøgger is a lecturer at the Kolding School of Design and was a member of the jury for an illustration exhibition in Bologna . She lives in Copenhagen .
