The method of drilling pressing (with hydraulic drilling and pressing system) (also known as press drilling or reaming drilling ) is often used where supply lines (in closed construction ) have to be carried out under roads , buildings , track structures (railway lines) or fences.

Working method

Often so-called steel protection tube bores are either uncontrolled or controlled (by means of single or double wall pilot rods, control screw, flap control technology). In press drilling, a steel pipe is pressed through the ground. At its tip, the soil is removed without displacement by a drill head and transported backwards inside the pipe. The steel conduits can so z. B. be pressed through under the tracks, in order to later pull any media pipes or supply and telecommunication lines (gas, electricity, water, cable television, telephone) through it.

Hints

During the drilling and pressing process, it is extremely important that the heights (NN heights) of existing road surfaces or tracks are checked by leveling at several previously determined points . In the worst case, subsidence of the surrounding soil can occur, leading to sagging and cracks in the bound roadway superstructure (or track).
