The Bologna Children's Book Fair or Bologna International Children's Book Fair is a book fair in Bologna . It is the largest international trade fair that deals with picture books, children's books and books for young people.

Each country is an annually changing guest of honor and exhibits children's books and illustrations in its own pavilion. The Bologna Ragazzi Award will be presented in various categories at the fair . In March 2018 the Bologna Children's Book Fair took place for the 55th time. After Germany (2016) and Catalonia (2017), China was the guest of honor in 2018, followed by Switzerland in 2019.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the 57th trade fair was initially postponed in 2020, then canceled entirely. In the meantime, the organizers have set up a website for all registered participants in order to continue to enable the business of buying and selling international licenses and other collaborations. The next fair is to take place from April 12th to 15th, 2021.
