Bolsena Lacus

The Bolsena Lacus is a methane lake on Saturn's moon Titan . It is named after Lake Bolsena in Italy , has a diameter of around 101 kilometers and is located at 75.8 ° N / 10.3 ° W. This means that it is in the northern polar region of Saturn's moon Titan, where most of the others are Lakes are located on Titan. The lake was first discovered in 2007 in pictures taken by the orbiter Cassini . The name was officially recognized by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) on September 27, 2007 .
