The recipe comes from the Bommerlund kro inn ("Bommerlunder Krug") in the village of Bommerlund in today's municipality of Bov (German construction) near Gejlå between Flensburg and Kliplev , which belonged to the German Empire from 1867 to 1920. Initially, the Søgård estate was distilled , then for a long time it was exclusively produced in Flensburg. For a long time Bommerlunder belonged to the Hermann G. Dethleffsen company , which in turn was sold to Berentzen in 1997. In 2000, production was relocated from Flensburg to Haselünne in Lower Saxony , Berentzen's headquarters.

reception

The music group Die Toten Hosen named the song Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder after the schnapps. The group Trio also thematized the schnapps in the title Trio Bommerlunder . There is also the party title Bom Bom Bommerlunder by Bommi & Luder (actually Rick Bräu & Jasmin), which demonstrates the effect of the drink. The song was released by Warner Music in 2000 (ELF-a music).
