Günter Lehmann

Günter Lehmann (born December 31, 1939 in Dresden ) is a German scientist , university professor , editor and until 2005 director of an independent educational institute.

Life

After completing primary school (1945–1953), Lehmann trained as a decorative painter (1953–1955). He was initially a decorative painter from 1955 to 1960 and made up his Abitur from 1956 to 1960 at the Dresden Evening School. From 1960 to 1962 he did his military service ( NVA ). From 1962 to 1967 he studied civil engineering and vocational education at the TU Dresden . In 1973 he was in the field of vocational education at the TU Dresden to Dr. paed. PhD . In 1974 he was awarded the facultas docendi at the TU Dresden. After his habilitation in the field of engineering education at the TU Dresden and an additional course in the field of engineering psychology at the Lomonossow University in Moscow , he was a university lecturer for engineering education from 1981.

1983 Günter Lehmann was promoted to full Professor for Engineering Education at the TU Dresden appointed . From 1986 to 1992 he was head of the Institute for Engineering Education at the TU Dresden. Günther Landgraf , the first freely elected rector of the TU Dresden, appointed Lehmann from 1989 to 1991 as the prorector for education at the TU Dresden. Both set the successful course for a new beginning at TU Dresden after the fall of the GDR.

With Günther Landgraf, Lehmann founded the European Institute for Postgraduate Education (EIPOS) at the TU Dresden on September 1, 1990 . Günther Landgraf was president for many years, from 1990 to 2005 Lehmann was its vice-president and scientific director, and since 2005 a member of the EIPOS executive committee. Both set standards in university and postgraduate training and were pioneers in this field. Lehmann retired in 2005 .

From 1997 to 2004 Lehmann was chairman of the non-profit institute for local government in Dresden, from 1998 to 2005 head of the Steinbeis transfer center EIPOS and from 1998 to 2003 chairman of the VDI committee for advanced training of engineers in Düsseldorf. From 1999 to 2005 he was deputy. Head of the MBA Center at Danube University Krems . In 2007 he became the quality representative of the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, newly founded flensburg.school , an innovation platform for applied research and advanced research studies with part-time courses, which was later notorious as the "title maker".

Günter Lehmann is married to Ingrid Lehmann , the former GDR head coach in figure skating.

Act

Günter Lehmann deals with the management of training, further education and research processes in higher education. He teaches and publishes in particular on numerous topics of professional communication, e. B. at the EIPOS - European Institute for Postgraduate Education at the TU Dresden as well as in the MBA course at the Danube University Krems. His communication-related teaching content on the subject of "designing communicative situations" (communication psychology, moderation, presentation, negotiation, interview, acquisition, complaint and conflict management) has been a permanent fixture in technology and business-oriented training offers for managers for more than 15 years.

Prof. Lehmann has published over 165 essays and articles on the subjects of education and training, university policy, engineering education, communication, regional and environmental management, construction and real estate law.
