Bompas group

As Bompas group (English: Bompas Group ), a group Attic - black-figure very small neck amphorae called the v of the 5th century in the first quarter. Were manufactured. The group got its name from John D. Beazley after a vase formerly in the collection of Harold Bompas.
The group is part of the point-band class (English: Dot Band Class ) and how those distinguished by their characteristic decorative elements, a point band below the images and three palmettes on each side of the neck. The vases were put together by Beazley because of their very similar drawing style, reminiscent of that of the Edinburgh painter . He assigned two vases to the Bompas painter and three more to the painter from Vatican G 31 .
