Game flow
Each player initially receives 10 gold, the playing cards are shuffled and one card is laid out face up for each player. In the first round only mining concessions may be displayed, event cards are mixed in again. In turn, the players bid an amount until one player makes the highest bid. He then pays the amount to his right-hand neighbor, who may keep the half rounded up if necessary and pass the rest on to his neighbor. He keeps half and passes the rest on to his right neighbor. If the player's right neighbor is the player with the highest bid, he keeps the rest. Then, starting with the player who has made the highest bid, the players choose one of the cards in clockwise order. After all cards have been dealt, the first player rolls the die and each player who has a mining concession with the production roll printed on it receives as much gold as the mine produces, e.g. B. for the Cold Mountain Mine Concession you get 3/5 if you roll 3 gold with a value of 5. If you roll a 2 or 12 on the two mines marked with "Danger", the mine collapses and the card is removed from the game . If a player has 2 mines of the same color, he receives the mayor's office of this city. If another player places a mining concession in this city, he must pay the player as much gold as the player owns mining concessions in this city. If a player has more mining concessions than the mayor, he takes over the mayor's office. In the subsequent rounds, event cards can also be auctioned, which have an immediate or permanent effect and which can be used to influence the game and to generate additional gold income.
The game ends when the last card is auctioned and the last time gold has been rolled. The winner of the game is whoever has the most gold, the best mines and the most mayor's posts.
