Borda profile

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Borda profile describes a specific form of electrodes in high voltage technology and is used to round off the edges. There is no field exaggeration, the electric field strength is uniform at the edge. The Borda profile is characterized by a more economical design than the Rogowski profile and the shape is independent of the distance between the electrodes. Therefore it is used more often.

The basic shape of the Borda profile against a flat surface can be specified in parametric representation as follows:

whereby the limits of are to be understood as limit values .
