Boris Giltburg

Boris Giltburg (* 1984 in Moscow ) is an Israeli pianist .

Life

Giltburg began his piano training with his mother in the Soviet Union . After the family emigrated to Israel in the early 1990s, he continued his studies with Arie Vardi . Giltburg has received several awards since the first years of the 21st century. He performs worldwide together with well-known conductors and orchestras.

In Germany, Giltburg has played with the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin (DSO), Berlin, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra , and the German Radio Philharmonic , and will be at a lunch concert for the Hessischer Rundfunk and in Mainz in the 2010/2011 season occurred at Südwestrundfunk .

In June 2013 he was the first prize winner of the international Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and also received the audience award of the Belgian, Flemish-speaking TV channel VRT . In 2018 he was awarded the Opus Klassik Prize in the category "Soloist recording of the year (music 20th / 21st century) / piano" for his recording of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 and his Études-tableaux op. 33, published at Naxos.
