The MELITTA was the second steam locomotive on Borkum. It was built by the Krauss company in 1876 with the serial number 631.
history
It was not delivered to Borkum, but to the gravel pit near Westerende, which it later handed over to the Habich & Goth company . In 1888 the company brought it to Borkum, where it was initially used to build the line. With the start of operations, she came to the Inselbahn. In 1900 it got a new boiler until it was sold to a construction company in Emden in 1925 for 10,000 Reichsmarks . The locomotive was probably scrapped there.
