Bantia Botanical Garden

The Bantia Botanical Garden in Burkina Faso is an area of ​​Sudanese savannas and wetlands protected from human interference and fire, enriched by planting local plant species. It was founded in 2001.

Location and infrastructure

Located about 10 km south of the town of Fada N'Gourma on the road to Pama , it covers about 10 hectares. Paths lead to the various habitats and a central quiet zone. The garden also contains a small museum and a guest house consisting of a few round huts.

Duration

The garden area is home to around 116 species of trees and 110 herbaceous plant species. Numerous species of birds, Nile crocodiles and turtles can also be found here.
