The FC Botew Wraza ( bulg . : Ботев Враца) is a football club from the Bulgarian city ​​of Wraza . It bears the name of the Bulgarian hero Christo Botew .

history

The association was founded in 1921 by Nikola Kunow, Iwan Abusow, Nako Paunow, Gergo Boytchew, Todor Orozow, Hristo Lighenski and Angel Rachinsk. Between 1957 and 1964 they played in the B Grupa . 1964 one rose to the A Grupa . Between 1964 and 1990, 788 games were played in the A Grupa. In 1990 they moved to B Grupa and later back to W Grupa . In 2007/08 the club was fourth in the W Grupa Northwest.

In the 2010/11 season Botew Wraza was able to reach first place in the Second Bulgarian League B Grupa-West and qualify for the A Grupa.

Stadion

The Christo Botew Stadium was built in 1948. It is located in the east of Wraza. Initially it had space for 32,000 spectators. After it fell into disrepair over the years because the club ran out of money, it was rebuilt in 2008 and the capacity was reduced to just 6000 seats.
