Botond von Gaal (born December 23, 1961 in Budapest , Hungary ) is a German actor, director and voice actor.

Life

Born in Hungary, Botond von Gaal grew up in Germany as the son of the opera singer Gabor von Gaal . His parents raised him bilingual: he speaks perfect German and Hungarian. Through his father's job, he got to know the world of theater as a child. His eloquence and accentuated pronunciation enabled him to work as an actor at a young age.

At the request of his father, Botond von Gaal completed a law degree. During his law studies, however, he continued to take private acting lessons.

After graduating as a fully qualified lawyer , the Hanover State Theater hired him as an actor. Through his work as an assistant director and evening director, he learned to direct there. This was followed by a guest scholarship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude Stuttgart and other study visits, including a. in Vienna, Budapest and Los Angeles.

His other activities include acting as a moderator and speaker, u. a. at NDR and in radio play productions. He is both a stage, film and television actor. He also works as a dialogue book author and director and is, on a voluntary basis, artistic director of the newly founded Jewish Theater Massel in Hanover. He is hired as a voice actor for current and classic film productions. Botond von Gaal operates at home and abroad.
