Bouillot Helsel Inc was an automobile manufacturer from the Channel Island of Guernsey .

Company history

The company was based in the Harbor House on the South Esplanade in Saint Peter Port . In 1983 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Bouillot-Helsel . One vehicle was exhibited at the London Motorfair in 1983 . Production ended in the same year.

Replicas of classic automobiles were on offer . The Jaguar E-Type of the first series is named. The vehicle was available as a two-seater roadster . The base was a chassis from Oldham & Crowther. In contrast to the original, the vehicle was better equipped and more modern. This affected both a five-speed gearbox and leather seats. One source speaks of meticulous work and lavish and sophisticated furnishings.

The new price was 50,000 pounds, well above the price of a used Jaguar E-Type. The market success remained low.

The British classic car magazine Classic and Sportscars reported on the vehicle in February 1984.

On August 15, 2014, the Bonhams auction house auctioned a vehicle for 80,478 euros . This vehicle has a six-cylinder engine with 3781 cc capacity and 265 hp power.

The company also produced scaled-down replicas of Le Mans racing cars. Mentioned here is the Porsche 956 from Team Rothmans from 1982.
