Bound Skerry is an uninhabited island in the east of the Out Skerries , an archipelago that belongs to the Shetlands . It also marks the easternmost point of Scotland . Bound Skerry includes two peninsulas, Tamma Skerry in the south and Little Bound Skerry in the north-west. On the island is the Out Skerries Lighthouse , a lighthouse completed in 1858, which has been designated as a Category B Listed Building since 1971 and is therefore a listed building. Until its automation in 1972, the keepers of the tower lived on the island of Grunay, a little to the south-west .
