The Bowler Rocks are a group of cliff rocks in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located 800 m southwest of Table Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1971 after David Michael Bowler (* 1943), surveying clerk of the hydrographic surveying unit of the Royal Navy , which operated in 1967 on board the Nimrod in the waters around these islands.
