Boys Over Flowers (꽃 보다 남자) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 in 2009.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series Hana Yori Dango .
Poor Geum Jan-di, whose parents own a laundry, attends the exclusive Shinhwa High School . She finds her superficial and privileged classmates unbearable, especially the infamous group F4. The rich, handsome, and arrogant Goo Jun-pyo, Yoon Ji-hoo, So Yi-jung, and Song Woo-bin are the school's leaders, and not even the teachers dare to challenge them. Only Jan-di takes on the leader of the F4, Jun-pyo, when he humiliates one of her friends and gets himself into trouble.
