Bozia (unit)
The Bozia was an Italian measure of volume on the island of Kythira (Italian Cerigo) (the island fell to Greece in the 1860s after Venetian and Napoleonic rule ) and was used as a measure of wine and oil . There was no difference in size between these two measures.
- Wine measure 1 Bozia = 2 Agastere = 114 ½ Parisian cubic inches = 2.25 liters (calculated using Agastere 1 Bozia = 2.5 liters)
- Wine measure 30 bozie = 1 barill
- Oil measure 24 Bozie = 1 barill
