Brännbollscup
The Brännbollscup is an annual Brennball competition in Umeå with World Cup status and was organized by the Umeå Student Sports Club ( IKSU ) until 2012 . "Brännboll i Umeå AB" has been organizing the tournament since 2013.
history
The first Brännbollscup took place in 1974 with 44 participating teams. Over the years the tournament has grown to include more than 1,000 teams in 1990.

event
The Brännbollscup takes place annually and always on the last weekend in May. Over the years, the event has grown in area and now includes the meadows on the university campus and the meadows below Mariehem . In the evening, when it gets too dark to play Brennball, the " Brännbollsyra " begins , a festival surrounding the Brännbollscup.
