The Brückner Group is a company in the plastics and packaging industry with over 2,500 employees at over 30 locations. The range of services includes production systems for the manufacture of foils for packaging material and technical areas of application, service for existing systems, series and special machines for processing plastic and special machines for the packaging industry.

history

Gernot Brückner founded Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG in 1960, which was able to establish itself as the world market leader for film stretching systems in the following years. In order to do justice to the growing market in Asia, Brueckner Far East Ltd. was founded in 1980. established. In 2003 the service division was spun off from Brückner Maschinenbau into the independent company Brückner Servtec GmbH. A year later, the company expanded to Slovakia and founded Brückner Slovakia sro 2007 saw the founding of Brueckner Machinery and Service India Ltd. and the integration of Kiefel GmbH into the Brückner Group. One year later, Brueckner Colombia SAS was founded as a branch in Colombia. In 2011 the Brückner Group then acquired PackSys Global AG, a Swiss packaging specialist. One year later, the new headquarters of the Brückner Group China opened in Suzhou, as well as the bundling of US activities through the establishment of the Brueckner Group USA. Madag Printing Systems (Switzerland) was taken over by PackSys Global in 2013. In the same year the Swiss company Texa AG was acquired. In the following year, PackSys Global expanded again by acquiring Combitool AG (Switzerland). Kiefel did the same as the Swiss and acquired the Czech company SWA sro. The following year, Kiefel took over the Dutch Bosch Sprang BV and the Austrian Mold & Matic GmbH. Paragon Molds has been a member of the Brückner Group since 2017 and has been renamed Kiefel Automotive. One year later, Bosch Sprang BV was renamed Kiefel Packaging BV, Mold & Matic Solutions GmbH was renamed Kiefel Packaging GmbH and SWA sro was renamed Kiefel Automotive sro.

Under the umbrella of the management holding and lead company Brückner Group GmbH, the group members operate in their respective markets:

Brückner Maschinenbau supplies production systems for the manufacture of foils for packaging material and in technical areas of application such as B. capacitors or optical films. Brückner Maschinenbau also offers turnkey factories as well as laboratory and pilot systems. Around 700 Brückner systems are currently in operation at all known larger film manufacturers.

Brückner Servtec helps film manufacturers with system modernization , repair services and software solutions for existing production systems.

Kiefel takes on the conception and manufacture of machines for processing plastic films with the key technologies of joining and forming. The company supplies the automotive, refrigerator, medical technology and packaging industries.

PackSys Global is a supplier of special machines for the international packaging industry. The company builds complete production lines for the manufacture of aluminum, plastic and laminate tubes, metal and plastic caps and aluminum spray cans.
