Vapors

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The vapors (also: Brodem, vapors or drying vapors) is with water vapor saturated air that the drying of solids formed.

In process engineering , the term is broadly defined and includes all gases that are produced during the single or multi-stage distillation of liquid mixtures , evaporation , degassing or drying. Air or water is often no longer contained.

The gas resulting from the thermal degassing of feed water for steam boiler systems is discharged to the outside as sweeping steam or vapors.

The heat of condensation of the vapors is, if possible, used again in the process. With the help of vapor compression , this can be done at a higher temperature level.
