Brachtenbach ( Luxembourgish Bruechtebaach ) is a village in the municipality of Wintger in north-west Luxembourg . In 2005 the population was 149.

geography

Brachtenbach is located in the mostly Luxembourg Ardennes foothills Ösling , just under 4 kilometers as the crow flies east of the border with Belgium. Wintger, the capital of the 27 localities with the largest area in Luxembourg, is about 3.5 kilometers north of Brachtenbach as the crow flies.

Via the secondary road CR  309, Brachtenbach is connected to the national road 12 in the neighboring town of Derenbach to the west , which runs from the Belgian-Luxembourg border in the north through the north-west of the country and merges with the N 15 south of the town of Wiltz in Büderscheid .
