Bracket
Bracket is the name of a punk band from California .
It consists of the 4 members Marti Gregori ( guitar and vocals ), Angelo Celli (guitar and vocals), Zack Charlos ( electric bass and vocals) and Ray Castro ( drums ).
history
Like many other punk bands, the band was formed in high school. Larry and Marty , two major AC / DC fans from Forestville, California , began teaching each other to play the guitar. Later, Zack joined as bassist and Ray as drummer, who initially appeared under the name "High Output" and won their first fans. With their first CD, already as a bracket, they got a record deal with Caroline Records. Since the label severely restricted the band's artistic freedom, the musicians tried to sign a contract with Fat Wreck Chords, which came about in 1996 when Caroline went bankrupt. In 1997 the first full album "Novelty Forever" was released. In the following years the band toured a lot and gained a new fan base, especially in Europe. Guitarist Larry Tinney left the band after the "Novelty Forever" album and was replaced by Angelo Celli. The music style is punk with rock influences paired with poppy melodies and intelligent lyrics, which mainly treat the problems as an outsider. In 2005 Fat Wreck refused to release the already completed work "Requiem", so they switched to Takeover Records (apparently in friendship), who finally brought the album onto the market in 2006. Since 2007 Marty, Angelo and Zack have been pursuing the acoustic project "The Good Life Crisis", which musically can be assigned to the folk or bluegrass area. In 2014, after a long period of inactivity, the next bracket album "Hold Your Applause" was released.
