The Brandenburger Judo-Verband eV (BJV) is the state judo association of the Brandenburg judo clubs and their judoka . The Brandenburg Judo Association is a member of the German Judo Federation (DJB).

founding

The Brandenburg Judo Association . was founded on October 3rd, 1990 by Henry Hempel , Dieter Mucha and Margot Belger.

Performance / sport promotion

The BJV promotes and operates the training and further involvement in judo teaching and examination as well as the referee system in Brandenburg in the Brandenburg Olympic base and in the associated member clubs. The BJV also provides trainers for the elite sports school in Frankfurt (Oder), where judo is included in school lessons.

Competitive sport

The BJV regularly organizes individual and team competitions. Winners of the Brandenburg championships qualify for participation in national competitions as representatives of Brandenburg, such as the German championship of the DJB .

Judo Bundesliga

With the Spremberger judo team (KSC Asahi Spremberg) and the UJKC Potsdam , the BJV represent two Bundesliga teams that take part in the judo Bundesliga .

The following clubs have represented the BJV in the judo national league since 1990:

  1. Bundesliga: JC 90 Frankfurt (Oder), PSG Dynamo Brandenburg
  2. Bundesliga: SV Motor Babelsberg, JV Ludwigsfelde, JC Eberswalde

Brandenburg League

The BJV operates a regional team league, the Landesliga. This league is open to all Brandenburg judoka. The only condition of having the DJB's competition license .
