Incendiary weapon

An incendiary weapon is a weapon whose primary purpose is to set fire to materials or objects or to inflict burns on people through the effects of flame, heat, or a combination of these. Incendiary weapons use incendiary agents as the actual means of incendiary .

The use of many such incendiary weapons in military conflicts is regulated by the International Convention on the Prohibition or Restriction of the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons, which cause excessive suffering or which can act indiscriminately .
