The Branicki Palace ( Polish Pałac Branickich ) is a castle in Białystok , the capital of the Polish Podlaskie Voivodeship .

history

In the 16th century, the previous building at this point belonged to Piotr Wiesiołowski . The castle was built in the 17th century by Tylman van Gameren for Stefan Mikołaj Branicki from the magnate family of Branicki built in the 18th century by Johann Sigmund Deybel of Hammerau and Jakub Fontana rebuilt. After it was destroyed in 1944, it was rebuilt between 1946 and 1960. The castle is currently used by the Medical University of Białystok .
