Branko Grčić (born April 16, 1964 in Knin , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian economist and politician ( Social Democratic Party of Croatia , SDP). Since December 2011 he has been Minister for Regional Development and EU Funds.

Life

Branko Grčić studied economics at the University of Split and received his doctorate there in 1996. He has been teaching there since then, now as a full professor of general economics.

He has been a member of the SDP since 1999. From 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the Croatian Parliament . In Zoran Milanović's cabinet, which has been in office since December 2011 , he is Minister for Regional Development and EU Funds as well as one of four Deputy Prime Ministers.
