The Pedavena Brewery is a beer brewery in Pedavena in Veneto .

history

The brewery, founded in Pedavena by the Luciani brothers in 1897, was damaged by fire in 1917 during World War I. In addition, the plant components made of copper were confiscated. After the war, production was rebuilt in 1920 and a malt house with a pneumatic conveyor system was built. In 1928 the Luciani brothers bought the Dreher brewery in Trieste . After World War II , the Turin, Genoa and Macomer breweries were also acquired. Towards the end of the 1960s, the name of the beer brands was standardized on Dreher . In 1974 the brewery group was taken over by Heineken and the brewery in Pedavena was closed by Heineken on September 30, 2005.

After a strong public protest, the brewery was sold by Heineken to Birra Castello in early 2006 and production at the Pedavena brewery resumed.
