The effervescent GmbH with seat in Iserlohn is a manufacturer of pens and owner of the brand shower .

history

The company was founded in 1850 and manufactured needles and bicycle spokes . From 1895 drawing, writing, ornament and calligraphy pens were made of steel. According to the company's own information, over 400 different products have been developed so far, including a. a special nib of interest to musicians , with which the five lines of the notation system can be drawn in one go. At the moment, high-quality calligraphy and nibs are the main focus.

The old factory building in Brausestrasse, named after the company, in the east of Iserlohn city center is a technical cultural monument. The effervescent Produktion GmbH later belonged to the French Group Exacompta-Clairefontaine. On April 18, 2008, a liquidator was appointed and entered in the commercial register; on December 11, 2009 the company was deleted from the commercial register.

marketing

The company logo is a rooster in a circle, this logo and the name Brause are engraved on the springs; a previous brand name for the springs was Brause Hahn . An advertising slogan that can still be seen today on the former factory building was: "The best feather, dear son, is that from Brause - Iserlohn", another was: "All girls, all boys want shower feathers!"
