Bredemeyers Hof is an industrial monument near the center of Goldenstedt in the Lower Saxony district of Vechta on the southern edge of the Wildeshauser Geest nature reserve . The facility is also called Hof Essemüller . On a total area of 3000 m² there is a half-timbered storage facility (1722), a boiler house with an 18 m high chimney (1881), a carriage shed (1887), an electricity station (1907), a flour mill with three grinders (1912) and a turbine house. There used to be a sawmill on the site. In 2018 a barn from the 18th or 19th century was added to the facility, which originally stood in ashes and was rebuilt in Goldenstedt.

The name Bredemeyer has been associated with the property since the 10th century. The associated court was called Bredemeyer's court until the 19th century . Even before the Thirty Years' War , a watermill, located on the Goldenstedter Mühlenbach, was operated on the site, with which the family began to turn to artisanal industrial production.

The Essemüller family took over the property in the 19th century. At the end of the 19th century, Friedrich Essemüller had already converted the mill operation with the sawmill that had meanwhile been set up on the site to steam operation. At the beginning of the 20th century, Karl Essemüller began to generate electricity on the site, which supplied the mill and the sawmill. The family's power station built for this purpose supplied the community of Goldenstedt with electricity until 1956.

On December 23, 2015, the Anna-und-Heinz-von-Döllen-Stiftung, based in Aschen near Diepholz, leased Bredemeyer's farm from the Essemüller family. The industrial monument was completely renovated by the foundation and made accessible to the public on September 8, 2017. An outdoor oven was newly built, which enables regular baking days.

Bredemeyers Hof is also a location for public and private events. For example, Christmas markets were held there in 2018 and 2019. On August 27, 2019, 110 participants of the “Future of Villages” project of the University of Vechta met on the site . The host was Burghart Schmidt , President of the University of Vechta and member of the board of the Anna-und-Heinz-von-Döllen-Foundation.
