Breedon Everard Raceway
The Breedon Everard Raceway is a permanent motorsport racing circuit around 9 kilometers north of the city of Bulawayo in the Matabeleland North Province , Zimbabwe .
history
The route was named after the general manager of Rhodesia Railways Henry Breedon Everard (1897–1980). In December 1969, the first endurance race of the Springbok Series took place in Zimbabwe at the brand new Breedon Everard Raceway, commonly known as the Falls Road Circuit. From 1971 to 1973 the Rhodesian Grand Prix was held on the track . The route is driven clockwise.
The route originally had a length of 4054 meters and 10 curves, but was subsequently reduced and now has a length of 3478 meters and 8 curves. The operator of today's events is the Bulawayo Motoring Club (BMC).
