The Bremen Firebirds Cheerleader (BFC) are a cheerleading club from Bremen .

history

The Bremen Firebirds Cheerleader (BFC) was founded in 1992 as a division of the ASC Bremen Firebirds. The club has several teams. One of them is the BFC Firestorm . The BFC Firestorm was founded in 1998 and is the Senior Coed Team of the Bremen Firebirds Cheerleaders . In 2015 the team managed to become German runner-up. You are the reigning European Champion in Senior Mixed Cheer and in 2015 you secured sixth place at the World Championships.

The Firestorm XS has been the Allgirl U14 team since 2016. The team achieved the title of German Champion in 2012, 2014 and 2015 as U14 Coed. In 2013 the Firestorm XS - Coed U14 became German runner-up. Winning the German championship in 2016 as an Allgirl team is one of the team's greatest successes. The Firestorm XS can also be seen on the sideline, the Birds of Prey , in American football . The BFC Firestorm has secured through the World Cup finals in 2015, the space on the Deutsche Cheerleading Championship 2016th

The Wings of Fire are the youth coed team U17 of the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders . With nine German championship titles and the European championship in 2000 and 2015, they are the most successful youth coed team in Germany. In addition to the weekly training, the Wings of Fire support the youth footballers of the Firebirds on the sideline.

The youngest team of the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders are the XS-Minies in Pee Wee Cheer . In 2013/2014 the XS-Minis took part in the state championship as well as in the Cheermasters in Lemgo. They achieved their first major success at the Cheertrophy in Wolfenbüttel, where they achieved 2nd place in the Peewee Level 1.

Since 2016 there is a new team of the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders , the BFC-Lite . The team took second place in the Germany ranking and has secured participation in the German Cheerleading Championship in Dresden.

In addition to the weekly training, the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders stand at the sideline to cheer on the football teams, the Bremen Firebirds, at their games. The Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders also created the atmosphere from the edge of the field at handball and basketball games in the 2nd Bundesliga . The BFC regularly organize tryouts to take on new talent in the team.

Honors

  • As a team, the BFC Evil Fire Dancers were 2012 State Sportsman of the Year in Bremen .
  • In recognition of their success, the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders were allowed to enter the city of Bremen's Golden Book . Mayor Carsten Sieling received the Bremen Firebirds cheerleaders in April 2016 in the Bremen town hall and said: "I am pleased that you represent Bremen in such a committed and successful manner in cheerleading".
