Bangladeshi national cricket team in New Zealand in the 2001/02 season
The tour of the Bangladeshi national cricket team to New Zealand in the 2001/02 season took place from 7 to 26 December 2001. The international cricket tour was part of the 2001/02 international cricket season and included two test matches . New Zealand won the test series 2–0.
prehistory
New Zealand previously played a tour in Australia , Bangladesh against Zimbabwe . It was the first tour of the two teams against each other and only the second overseas tour of Bangladesh at all. However, New Zealand had previously toured on Bangladeshi soil in the seasons 1955/56 and 1969/70 when Bangladesh was still part of Pakistan.
