The tour of the South African national cricket team to Australia in the 2001/02 season took place from December 5, 2001 to January 2, 2002. The international cricket tour was part of the 2001/02 international cricket season and included three test matches . Australia won the test series 3-0.

Australia previously played a tour against New Zealand , South Africa against India . The last meeting of the two teams in a tour took place in the 1999/2000 season in South Africa . Following the tour, the two teams played a three-nation tournament with New Zealand .
