The South African national cricket team's tour to Sri Lanka in the 2000 season took place from July 20 to August 10, 2000. The international cricket tour was part of the 2000 international cricket season and included three test matches . The test series ended 1-1.
prehistory
Both teams previously played a three-nation tournament that Sri Lanka won in the final against South Africa. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1997/98 season in South Africa .
