South African national cricket team in England in the 2017 season
The South African national cricket team's tour to England in the 2017 season took place from May 24th to August 7th, 2017. The international cricket tour was part of the 2017 international cricket season and included four tests , three ODIs and three Twenty20s . England won the Test series 3–1 and the ODI and Twenty20 series 2–1 each.
prehistory
England previously played an ODI series against Ireland , for South Africa it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in South Africa in the 2015/16 season . After the ODI series, the tour was interrupted for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy .
