The tour of India's national cricket team to England in the 1996 season took place from May 23 to July 9, 1996. The international cricket tour was part of the 1996 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . England won the test series 1-0 and the ODI series 2-0.

This is the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in India in the 1992/93 season .
